The Un-Relationship by Dave Weirdly
In this weeks ASTRO MONK page we have the AWAKENER utterly despondent over the lost friendship of the robot it has awakened.
The AWAKENER has lost possibilities. Like being saved from loneliness and the hope of a new freind. I think sometimes when we lose a new friend especially one we haven’t built much history with there is sometimes a kind of fiction that occurs around that person. Our minds build stories quickly when in need or want . The AWAKENER is very
much in this place now. Not really missing the physical friend but missing the idea of having a friend. Also creeping feelings of loneliness and eventual insanity through isolation after being exiled into deep space doesn’t help ethier.
Relationship on the Horizon
But soon very soon the next page really new possibilities will make their way to the AWAKENER.
