Much like most of us, Alyssa has had the urge to discover other countries and cultures to her expand her reality and perhaps create a new paradigm. She recently resigned from her job in Albuquerque to pursue her love of the unknown and has decided to travel to South America for several months.

Meandering in South America

She will be traveling solo for the first few months then plans to meet a friend in ArequipaPeru, as well as many others along the road. She is documenting some parts of her experience, her meanderings, as they happen and will be connecting with any interested readers upon request.

ali…finally tracked you on google…thanx for sharing your trip(s). I checked out a cd from unm fine arts. It’s an EMI classic with jascha heifitz playing that piece by Wieniawski, one by Vieuxtemps (op31, #4), one byCamille Saint-Saenz (op28,intro and rondo), and op83 Havanaise, and finally Pablo de Sarasate, op21, #1 (Zigeunerweisen). Needless to say, heifitz makes a difference. All the pieces flow into one another and are truly awesome and extremely romantic. I am just a beginner with the classical music. I tend to like small groups and soloing. Listz, Chopin, Thelonius Monk on piano especially…and I am happy you had such a meaningful experience travelling sudamerica…happy you had safe return and especially happy to see you at Slice…ps… that book I recommend for your pop is One River by Wade Davis (ethnobotanist).

I had no idea that the facebook gimmick was so popular. I prefer meeting people on the go…not on paper plastic. Not into leaving my picture and personal stuff on the bulletin board.
