We have all heard the cliches about no I in team, Rome not being built in a day and something about burning down the house, but the power of teamwork can not be underestimated. In fact I am a firm believer that teamwork (collaboration) is critical in building a truly vibrant community.
Cutting-Edge
One of Community Publishing‘s community partners is High Def Entertainment | Affinity Music Group. Founded by Kent Black, their team consists of an eclectic collection of music producers, DJ’s, audio engineers, videographers, photographers and others. Under the direction of Kent, the group is creating the highest quality music and entertainment to New Mexico and beyond. Each member brings their unique individual talent to form a greater whole. Defined by their personal experiences, these group members come together like pieces of a puzzle..
Serendipity
Due to my relationship with one of those team members, DJ Flo Fader, I was able to meet Kent Black. Kent and I created a partnership and together we plot to take the keys to the media world 
from the corporate heads that hold them and give them back to the talented folks on ground floor that produce the content. Kent and I and our respective teammates believe in the ground up concept and we emphasize collaboration at every turn.
Through HD Entertainment, Community Publishing has been able to continue our Community Spotlight series (where we feature creative community members making a difference in the lives of their friends and neighbors) in video blog format (vlog).
Multimedia Sensation
DJ Flo Fader and I have embarked on a fictionalized biography of DJ Flo Fader (aka Roscoe Floyd). This story is being told thru DJ Flo Fader’s music, Alex Lopez’s photography and my literary talents. The team was able to photo-shoot in New Mexico, New York and Georgia! Below is the title track of the Grand Fantastic Life of DJ Flo Fader multimedia book:

With that being said, how is a good team built? Consider these following points as you sit down to interview possible team members:
- Eyes on the Prize – everyone with the same mission and goals
- True Diversity – folks from all walks of life, all backgrounds and expertise
- Team Players – people willing to put aside their egos for the good of the team
- Perseverance – individuals who are patient, energized and committed
- Progressive – individuals who learn from yesterday, get work done today but are guided by tomorrow
