The Awakener (continued) by Dave Weirdly
So enters the AWAKENER! A multi-eyed rectangle floating through the city. The rectangle shape hopefully informs you that this is a spawn of technology. Also being called experiment X-14 is a que the it is a made thing.
The Eyes Have It
The eyes. Well…I like multi-eyed creatures. Where and when I came to like them is kind of an unknown. I suppose in writing this I may discover a partial reason. Some of the influences I can name are the creature descriptions in the book of Ezekiel as well as the wheel within a wheel the has eyes on it. If I’m remembering that right. Attaching eyes onto a hard geometric shape makes for a interesting visual contrast. Multi-eyed creatures for me also resonate with intelligence, spirituality and supernatural awareness. Many religions embrace or have
multi-eyed creatures as deities or spirit creatures. Leading me to think that this could be a collective consciousness thing. All these attributes are { I like to think} infused into the AWAKENER character. As you will see in future pages of ASTRO MONK.
