Astar's MazeThe most important thing to understand about mental health is that people who experience major dissonance in the mind are experiencing multiple parallels. From the research I have done and the energy masters I have talked to, studying energy has been one of the major ways to find harmony with the self. What I means when I say this is that one must understand how energy works, what it’s properties are, how it moves, and how it functions in relation to the body and the mind.

There are many pathways to understanding energy. Some of those pathways include studying natural healing, Chinese medicine, martial arts, magnetism, and electricity. These all have to do with wave structure and vibration. We are wave structures and vibration and when you understand the way vibration behaves you can then apply it to human behavior and patterns within the mind.

There are many ways to approach one’s health and studying physics and energy has shed light on my own personal health. I encourage you to find what works for you and remember that you are a multidimensional being with many facets and it is worth understanding those facets in order to understand the self. We are going to be our own life-long companions; we might as well get along with ourselves.

The Emotional Aspect of Mental Health by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

Part 3 in the Mental Health 4 part series: Astar’s Maze

The emotional aspect of mental health has to be the most challenging. It is intertwined with all of the other aspects of the body, as some of you have noticed. It can be overwhelming at times to experience certain emotions- especially fear and rage. When emotions are ignored they bubble up at the most inconvenient times. They are energy and when stored in the body can cause physical illnesses but also extreme disharmony with the self. Disharmonies are usually created in childhood. It is in childhood that we are given our work that can last a lifetime.

There are many meditation practices I have found that have helped to harmonize the entirety of the emotional spectrum. One that is very effective is when you are experiencing an intense emotion, whether positive or negative, you simply say to yourself “I love and accept this feeling and I love and accept myself.” It helps create synthesis within the electromagnetic field. This essentially creates a more vibrant experience where all emotions can be experienced and appreciated. I would rather appreciate myself and be in harmony than to ignore any aspect of the self. We are holistic beings and deserve to have a full experience.

The Physical Aspect of Mental Health by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

Part 2 in the Mental Health 4 part series: Astar’s Maze

This is the second video in the four part series concerning mental health. These videos are a compilation of what I have learned over the years in my personal experience and from books I have read. I am not a doctor, I am not a psychologist, and I am not a professional that can offer professional advice. I am simply offering knowledge from my experiences so that some of you will have more clarity in your own experiences and achieve health faster than it has taken me.

I am not at peak health and I don’t think anyone is, but I have come to expect certain things from myself and been able to design my life so that I can flow better with myself. Physical activity is key along with a healthy diet that supports gut health. There is not a diet that will be right for everyone and there is also not a specific exercise routine that is right for everyone. You just have to find what works for you and flow with it.

These videos provide a reference for the different aspects and how they all tie into one another. I will continue creating videos as I conduct more research and learn more about physics in relation to mental health as this is the bulk of what I study. The next video will be about the emotional aspect of mental health and harmonizing with one’s emotions. See you there!

The Mental Aspect of Mental Health by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

Part 1 in the Mental Health 4 part series: Astar’s Maze

Ever since I can remember I felt that I wanted to help people and I knew I would change the world in some way. This is still not something that is clear to me. However, I do have my story to offer and I do have insights to offer in my journey up to this point. I do not have everything figured out but I would like to share my story and share my theories in the hope that at least one person feels less alone in their struggles.

Over the years I have tried many things to balance myself out and help myself function to my full potential. I approach health from what I call the four bodies. This includes the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. I am sure there are other aspects but for the sake of simplifying and presenting my theories in an accessible and digestible way we will keep it narrowed down to those four.

Video One: Mental Health

This first video has to do with the mental aspect of mental health. Most of us tend to locate our mental health at the head where our brains and the mind are located. The brain is just a physical organ that houses our thoughts and our imagination. Since we are physical beings in a physical body it is important to understand that the brain needs to be cared for in order for it to function properly. One also needs to remember though that the brain is connected to the whole of the body- physically and the electromagnetically which I will discuss in later videos.

I hope you enjoy this video and that it provides you some clarity for your own healing. As I learn more about this system I am developing (and testing on myself) it will evolve and one day I would like to present it to you all as a holistic therapy that will help transform and enrich your lives. So stay tuned for the other three videos in this four part series as I will be releasing one each week over the course of a month. Valentine’s Day by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

​It is highly appropriate on Valentine’s Day to want to feel loved and accepted. At the core of our beings I believe that we all want to love and be loved. Well I am going to tell you about Pan's Labyrinth: Valentine's Daysomething that I learned recently about love. I always thought that loving another person would open up their heart when actually loving another person opened up my heart.

​I cannot tell you how much of a relief it was to realize this. (I can’t take all the credit though, Matt Kahn’s teachings give me a lot of guidance) It has been so liberating because of course you want someone to love you back but realizing that you are going to feel love whether or not that person decides to mirror it back is a wonderful feeling. We are only ever giving love that we have generated within ourselves. When someone does not mirror our own love back to us it is only their inability to open their heart. I am not going to say I am the expert on unconditional love or that I feel that way all the time. However, I can tell you that my heart feels excited to be liberated in loving whomever it wants to and not having to worry about any kind of reciprocation.

Pan's Labyrinth: Valentine's Day​It feels so good to offer love to people and give it away like candy. It is the most healing thing in the world to have someone love you without asking for anything in return. It has taken me a long time to realize that my big heart can just give away love whenever and to whoever it wants. Loving others no matter their response is a form of loving yourself. Sure it feels great to just focus all your love inward but focusing it out is the same thing. To truly not expect anything in return is a magical place to be and I may not be there all the way yet but somehow I don’t think it’s going to take very long for my mind to catch up to my heart.

Circulating Energy by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

There is a certain amount of adversity that sparks creativity in the human mind..if you let it. I cannot tell you how many times I tried something only to have it fail. I have had to go back to the drawing board so many times that it has turned into a time where I can be the most Pan's Labyrinthcreative. I decided eventually that it was not that I was trying and failing, but rather getting an outcome from an experiment that I no longer needed to conduct. I learned that the reason why I would switch jobs, homes, and social circles so often was because I needed to circulate energy in my life.

This is one of the most impactful practices I have learned because it empowers you to bring new opportunities into your life by making small changes. You target an area that you want to change and start slowly making adjustments. For example if you want to become healthier you can do something as simple as taking the stairs instead of taking the elevator. Or you can drink one or two more glasses of water a day.

Conscious Flow

What this does is take something that has become stagnant and pushes it to move again. Now there is flow in that area and the new energy brings opportunities for you to further change your life. It is a really gentle approach for us to continually change our lives and keep things circulating. When we don’t consciously create flow in our lives on a daily basis life will do it for us. This is when chaos and conflict is created. So why not work with life and continue to change, evolve, and grow on purpose?

Pan’s Labyrinth: Endurance

Endurance by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

No matter how much you sleep, eat, listen to music, or cry, none of it will be able to take away the pain that we all experience from life. I have tried all of these things and much worse in the past. Eventually though I come back to myself and have to acknowledge the unbearable aching Pan's Labyrinth: Enduranceand agonizing growing pains of life. Thankfully there is a purpose for our pain. Pain empties you out, pain deepens your soul, and pain lets you know that you are passionate about something.

One of the things I can count on is my endurance. Endurance is built through facing life challenges and being able to get through it. Not only do we get through them but we also turn them into our strengths. I have done this enough to know the process. It doesn’t make the pain any less bearable but at least I know what comes next. I hope that I will soon shatter so deeply that it will purge any fear I have of pain.

PossibilitiesWhen you are not afraid of something shattering you, when you are not afraid of feeling the full spectrum of human emotion it puts you in a position to do anything. You are capable of anything at this point because what is going to stop you? I want to go talk to that person I am attracted to. What is the worst that could happen? They reject you? If you are not afraid of this feeling then it’s not a big deal. This is the key to being able to do anything. We are not going to magically stop feeling, but when our fear of feeling dissipates, an infinite amount of possibilities open up in our world. I welcome all that shatters me, this is where true freedom lies.

Pan’s Labyrinth: Change & Transcendence

Change & Transcendence by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo


When people hunger for change they romanticize chaos. It is fulfilling to theorize how this chaos will ensue. Many filmmakers over the years have successfully depicted a chaotic earth dystopia. It has become apparent over the years how important and necessary chaos is and how it is part of the cycle of change. I have many times felt like the bringer of chaos, having acted so many times as the catalyst. Most of the time when the chaos period has passed, I have been able to witness the situation (or person) reform in a stronger way because of the chaos that was endured. Many of us, if not all of us, crave change at the beginning of a new year.

The mistake that we make is that we expect a dramatic astrological reading, Mayan prophecy, or Pan's Labyrinth: Change & Transendencethe flying spaghetti monster to bring about the change we want to see in our lives. There is so much that we can do when we take back our power and even more that we can do with others who have the same goals and passions as ourselves. We do not need to rely on outside forces to create the change we want to see or even wait in general for change to happen. There is so much power in daily practice. There is a very sad perception that many of us have, that we will be able to do something about our discontent tomorrow. What we tend to forget is that tomorrow doesn’t exist.

Transcendence

I have had so many people tell me over the years how I should do things and at the end of the day I figured out that I had to do what felt right to me; even if this did not make sense to anyone but me. Never let anyone place their limitations on you, always question everything, and approach everything as if you will master it AND transcend it. If you do these things not only will you master all that you do, you will also discover that there is something even better afterwards. The universe is infinite, what do you choose to master?

Pans Labyrinth: Love Is All You Need

Love is All You Need by Pan Bourcier Hidalgo

Every cliché that you have ever heard in your life is true. Although in times of high emotion it is highly unnecessary to quote a universal truth, because we don’t need to state with words what Love is all you need: Pan's Labyrinthwe feel to be true. One of the most quoted truths is to follow your heart and following suit with that is that love is all you need. These are symbiotic, but who wants to sound like a Beatles record? (unless you are of course a Beatle..beetle?)

All too often we get caught up in trying to conceptualize what it means to be a human that exists in time and space atop a spinning rock that is colliding through the universe. I used to think that I was crazy when I would follow love, even if it took me across the country (or world for that matter). However, those journeys have been the most exciting rides of my life and have taught me the most valuable lessons.

The universe speaks to us in a language that we can understand; we have an inherent desire to experience love through another being, this brings us to such a tremendously full and present state that there is no other place that one would rather be when they are in that place. It is a full bodied, blissful place that leaves us feeling suspended in time. The moment our analytical mind comes in it brings us crashing to the floor wondering what happened.

This is something that I have been mulling over and sitting with and the end result is that as feeling beings we should follow bliss but follow it unabashedly and blindly. It will lead you to the
greatest lessons and greatest moments of your life. I am not saying that you will be skipping in daises and sliding down rainbows the whole time but ultimately it will lead you to having a deeper, more meaningful Love is all you need: Pan's Labyrinthrelationship with yourself and the world you experience.

Traveling to different geographical places puts us in a different time and space with ourselves. We have different mirrors that echo our reflection. It creates different lenses to see the world (and essentially ourselves) through. This place just so happened to be New Orleans for me. I realized that there is no wrong way to do anything; life is about discovery and experiences. Do everything the exact way that YOU would do it. Not the way your mom would, not the way your dad would, not the way your friends would, but the way that you would. Your individual style of living life fully is valid and truest to yourself.

Explore, discover, try new things, but most of all follow love blindly- it will lead you to yourself.
